Sometimes slavery comes disguised, clad in a login buttons and lengthy news feeds.

Not many of us are aways alert enough to notice the Facebook noose or the inbox pangs.
Like most of God’s good gifts, misuse instead creates slavery.
Missed opportunities cruise past logged-in husbands as wives struggle to make a point. Our toddlers turn into teenagers as we scroll down another update- a parenting privilege exchanged.
Reconciled folks understand we can handle wifi and mobile data differently though, with the spirit’s help you know!
“Everything is permissible but everything is not beneficial.” (1 Cor 10:23)
So you see, we can afford to keep the same profile picture for a month in order to make it for daughters’ concert. Your gadget can stay miles away from the dinner table, because God’s word matters, their little faces too, no matter who just tagged you.
We can turn off messenger until wife’s point is understood.
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free..” Paul warned the wireless Galatians in Gal 5:1 “..stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
Always choose your wife, not your wifi, oh by the way, I am stopping here so I can join her in the kitchen.
